Another great, productive ERM working group meeting today, where we wrapped up the first phase.  There will be a meeting hiatus for the next 6 weeks or so, while preparations for PRO intensify and implementation gets off the ground.

Expanding staff training in keying .e and .t records is getting further underway.  Lots of little fixes in the record structure, improvements in labelling — all those little things that make things flow smoother.

Mapping out the conversion for DBFinder entries over to ERM record structure — we have a pretty good strategy worked out and most records will be straightforward.  More complex situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis by librarians, rather than attempt to develop procedures for support staff; and will be used to gain further experience.

Some sampling will be done on SerialsSolutions MARC record to see if there would be a good return in terms of supplying missing ISSNs; the hunt-for-missing-ISSNs project will be re-invigorated in the meantime.  Everything needs an ISSN!
